A school district in Marion, SC is seeking dedicated mental health professionals for the 26/27 school year. This full-time, contract-to-hire opportunity offers a 37.5-hour workweek and multiple openings across various grade levels, including Early Childhood, Elementary, and Middle School.
Openings Available:
- 2 positions in Early Childhood
- 4 positions in Elementary
- 2 positions in Middle School
Qualified candidates may apply for roles as School Counselors, School Social Workers, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists, or Clinical Social Workers. Please note that associate-level professionals will not be considered for these roles. Applicants are encouraged to indicate their preferred grade level assignment.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling to support student mental health and well-being.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop intervention plans.
- Identify and address social, emotional, and behavioral challenges impacting students.
- Maintain detailed records and ensure confidentiality in compliance with ethical standards.
- Facilitate crisis intervention and referrals to community resources when necessary.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to enhance student support systems.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid and current licensure as a School Counselor, Social Worker, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, or Clinical Social Worker.
- Prior experience working within educational settings is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of child and adolescent development and mental health issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage diverse student populations.
- Ability to work collaboratively with school staff and families.
