Speech Therapist in Hollister, CA

Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1 year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into a fulfilling contract opportunity as a Speech and Language Pathologist where your expertise will make a meaningful impact on students from preschool through 8th grade. We are seeking two dedicated SLPs to join a collaborative Special Education Department that values innovation, support, and student success.

Openings include:

• A Rural SLP role that involves traveling to several nearby rural schools, working with students in grades TK through 8th.
• A Preschool SLP position based at a single site, supporting children aged 3 to 5 years.

Both positions offer manageable caseloads ranging from 35 to 45 students, and you’ll work alongside a team of three SLPs and one SLPA. Competitive hourly rates between $55 and $65 reflect our commitment to attracting outstanding talent.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent
• Valid license or credential to practice as an SLP in California (or eligibility to obtain)
• Preferred background in educational settings, specifically with school-age children and/or preschoolers
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to adapt to serving diverse students across multiple locations (for rural role)
• Commitment to fostering inclusive educational environments

Responsibilities:

• Assess, diagnose, and treat communication disorders in students
• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Collaborate with educators, families, and other specialists
• Maintain thorough and timely documentation
• Provide consultative support to staff and families
• Travel to assigned rural school sites (for applicable role)
