Special Education Teacher in Pawtucket, RI

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid certification or licensure to teach Special Education
• Experience working with students with diverse learning needs
• Understanding of instructional strategies tailored for multilingual learners (MLL) is a plus
• Strong organizational skills for managing IEPs and documentation
• Positive, adaptable approach and excellent communication abilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and group instruction to students based on IEPs
• Collaborate with general education staff and support services to meet diverse student needs
• Implement creative strategies and modifications for students with disabilities and multilingual backgrounds
• Support the development of Social Emotional Learning and classroom community
• Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and open communication with parents and caregivers
• Foster a safe, respectful, and engaging classroom culture
