Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid CDE Authorization required to serve as an educational interpreter in Colorado schools
• Minimum EIPA score of 3.5 or higher
• Previous experience working as a Sign Language Interpreter in educational settings preferred
• Ability to travel between multiple schools as an itinerant interpreter
• Strong commitment to confidentiality, professionalism, and team collaboration
• Proficient in American Sign Language with the capacity to interpret for a wide range of students and classroom environments

Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality sign language interpreting services for students who are deaf or hard of hearing in both General and Special Education classrooms
• Support student participation by accurately conveying classroom instruction and conversations
• Coordinate with teachers, support staff, and district professionals to address student needs
• Adapt interpreting style to suit individual students’ communication preferences and assignments
• Travel between multiple school locations as needed to provide continuous support throughout the school year
