Make a meaningful impact supporting elementary students as a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist in a dynamic school-based contract role. This full-time opportunity offers the chance to provide vital speech and language services within a welcoming educational setting. With a schedule of 35 hours per week, 8:15AM to 3:15PM, you’ll guide students on their communication journey from now through June 25, 2027.
Key qualifications and experience:
- Current and valid SLP licensure in New Jersey
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required
- Previous experience working as a school-based SLP
- Proficiency in conducting comprehensive testing, evaluations, and assessments
- Ability to provide and utilize your own testing materials as required by the district
- Must be comfortable collaborating with school teams and adapting to district protocols
- Reliable transportation and close proximity to the worksite for daily commute
- Compliance with onboarding requirements: recent TB test, physical examination, and fingerprinting for both agency and district
- SLPAs and CF candidates are not eligible due to supervision limitations
Primary responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy to an elementary caseload in a school environment
- Complete all student assessments, create individualized intervention plans, and contribute to IEP development
- Effectively manage a full caseload and address a variety of student needs
- Communicate and work collaboratively with school professionals, families, and administrators
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports
