School Social Worker - Providence, RI

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1 years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This position seeks an experienced Social Worker qualified to support K-12 students in a school setting, specifically serving middle and high school age groups. You will manage a caseload of approximately 11 IEP students, providing essential social work services to enhance their academic and social success.

Schedule: 5 days per week, 32.5 hours per week

Qualifications and Skills:

• Valid Social Worker credential or certification required
• Experience working with school-aged children, especially within middle and high school ranges
• Ability to manage and provide services to students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Strong communication and counseling skills appropriate for educational settings
• Knowledge of social work practices tailored to school environments

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct social work services to students on your caseload, addressing social, emotional, and behavioral challenges
• Collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to develop and implement interventions and support plans
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with state and local school regulations regarding student welfare
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute professional insights toward student development goals
