Elementary School Counselor — Bilingual Preferred

Position Overview

A full-time Elementary School Counselor position is available in Sun Prairie serving students in a supportive and collaborative elementary school environment. The counselor will work with students to support academic success, social-emotional development, and school engagement.

Schedule
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday: 7:30 AM – 2:40 PM
Thursday: 7:30 AM – 1:30 PM
Total: 34.7 hours per week

Responsibilities
Provide individual and group counseling to elementary students
Support students’ social-emotional learning and academic development
Collaborate with teachers, families, and school staff
Assist in implementing behavior and intervention supports
Contribute to a positive and inclusive school climate
Maintain required documentation and student records

Qualifications
Must possess, maintain, or be eligible to hold a Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction School Counselor license (Code 966 or 54)
Experience in school counseling preferred, especially at the elementary level
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
Bilingual Spanish skills (strong plus, not required)
