Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1 years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.A school-based psychological professional is needed to provide comprehensive support to elementary-aged students in a contract position located in Meriden, CT. This full-time role offers a schedule of approximately 6.5 hours per day, with potential flexibility to work 3 or 4 days per week.Key responsibilities include: Conducting comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and assessments for students PreK through 5th grade (ages 3-11) Participating in Planning and Placement Team (PPT) meetings to develop and review individualized education plans Providing counseling services and implementing behavioral interventions tailored to student needs Collaborating with teachers, families, and other professionals to support student success and well-being Managing a caseload of approximately 20-25 students, addressing academic, social, and emotional challenges The ideal candidate will possess: Certification and experience as a school psychologist working with elementary school-aged children Proficiency in conducting evaluations, interpreting data, and delivering evidence-based interventions Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team Familiarity with special education laws, assessment tools, and counseling techniques This contract position provides an opportunity to impact student outcomes in a supportive school environment with potential scheduling flexibility.
