Key Qualifications:
- Current Michigan School Psychologist license (verification required)
- Previous experience working in educational or pediatric settings, preferred
- Strong assessment, consultation, and counseling skills with K-12 students
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with educators, families, and support teams
- Ability to travel between assigned school locations during the workweek
- Commitment to confidentiality, equity, and best practices in special education
Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations, including cognitive, academic, social, and behavioral assessments for K-12 students
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement IEPs and customized intervention plans
- Offer consultation and support to teachers and administrators regarding student learning, behavioral challenges, and progress monitoring
- Provide direct counseling services as needed to address students’ emotional, behavioral, and mental health concerns
- Deliver crisis response and support to school communities
- Maintain accurate records and comply with state and federal guidelines
- Participate in professional development and stay current with trends in school psychology
