School Occupational Therapist | Rutland, Vermont

Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1 year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Master’s degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Active OT license in Vermont (or eligibility for licensure)
• Prior experience working in a school environment is strongly preferred
• Knowledge of pediatric therapeutic techniques and sensory integration
• Ability to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and participate in multidisciplinary teams
• Excellent communication and documentation skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess students’ functional abilities and needs within classroom and school settings
• Develop and implement targeted intervention plans to meet students’ individual goals
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school personnel to support student goals and classroom adaptations
• Document evaluations, progress reports, and therapy notes in compliance with school and regulatory guidelines
• Provide guidance and resources to support carryover of skills at school and home
• Participate in IEP meetings and provide recommendations for accommodations or assistive devices
