Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Active OT license in Vermont (or eligibility for licensure)
- Prior experience working in a school environment is strongly preferred
- Knowledge of pediatric therapeutic techniques and sensory integration
- Ability to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and participate in multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ functional abilities and needs within classroom and school settings
- Develop and implement targeted intervention plans to meet students’ individual goals
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school personnel to support student goals and classroom adaptations
- Document evaluations, progress reports, and therapy notes in compliance with school and regulatory guidelines
- Provide guidance and resources to support carryover of skills at school and home
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide recommendations for accommodations or assistive devices
