Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Associate’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting or completion of an approved SLPA program
- Current SLPA license or eligibility to obtain in the state
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred, though recent graduates are encouraged to apply
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to work effectively with children, educators, and other professionals
- Ability to follow treatment plans, document progress, and maintain confidentiality
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to implement therapy plans targeting speech, language, and communication goals
- Assist with conducting screenings and collecting data for assessment of students’ needs
- Provide direct intervention to students individually or in groups as directed
- Prepare and organize therapy materials to engage students and reinforce learning
- Track and document student progress, reporting updates to supervising SLPs and educational teams
- Participate in team meetings and contribute insight towards individualized education plans (IEPs)
