Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students’ development during the summer months! This role focuses on delivering school-based physical therapy services in a collaborative and nurturing educational environment near Glen Burnie, MD. Two exciting summer paths are open—Extended School Year (ESY) and Infants and Toddlers Services and Assessments—both providing a chance to make a meaningful difference in young lives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide skilled physical therapy services and assessments to school-aged children or infants and toddlers, depending on placement.
- Work Monday through Thursday only; enjoy three-day weekends all summer.
- Participate in a dedicated professional development session before the program begins.
- Deliver therapy in person during set hours:
- Special Education Schools: 9:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
- General Education Schools: 8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
- Adhere to program dates and schedules:
- ESY: June 29th to July 30th (Professional development on June 25th).
- Infants and Toddlers: June 22nd to July 30th.
- Draft and maintain accurate documentation in accordance with school guidelines.
What We’re Looking For:
- Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) with recent school-based experience preferred.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for interacting with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Comfort with providing therapy and conducting developmental assessments in a school setting.
- Reliable and flexible, able to adapt to differing school hours and needs.
- Familiarity with IEPs and early intervention services is an advantage.
