Pediatric Elementary Speech Language Pathologist in Jackson, MS

Key Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Valid state SLP license (or eligibility to obtain before start date)
• Experience working with pediatric populations and K–12 students, including early childhood and elementary school
• Strong communication, organizational, and record-keeping skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Previous school experience or work with children with diverse speech and language needs preferred

Responsibilities:

• Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in a school environment
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) based on student needs
• Provide direct therapy services and monitor student progress
• Consult and collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student success
• Maintain required documentation and participate in IEP and team meetings
• Serve as a resource for staff and families regarding speech and language development
