Job Details:
- Position: Speech-Language Pathologist
- Location: Elkton, MD
- Employment Type: Full-Time
- Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday
- Work Hours: 8:15 AM - 3:45 PM (Tentative)
- Lunch Break: 30 minutes (unpaid)
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in students.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address the specific needs of each student.
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services to students, utilizing evidence-based techniques and interventions.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Monitor and track student progress, adjusting intervention strategies as necessary.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student evaluations, progress reports, and other documentation as required.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders.
- Valid Maryland state license or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- Previous experience working with PreK-12th grade students is highly desired.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to develop and implement effective therapy plans tailored to meet individual student needs.
