Remodeling Carpenter

BRIEF DESCRIPTION: The Carpenter-Skilled Tradesman is an experienced and trainable laborer, skilled in carpentry and general remodeling in residential and commercial settings. Practical communication skills are essential during the construction process. Carpenters reports directly to the Construction Supervisor. We provide candidates with a work truck and some tools to execute tasks to a high standard.

Hourly Pay Range is: $27.00 - $30.00, with a potential $500 signing bonus.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• General carpentry - residential and commercial
• Demolition
• Tile Work
• Hanging cabinets
• Trim carpentry-baseboards
• Drywall
• Painting
• Light electrical/plumbing
• Shower and Bath Remodeling
• Ensure company and customer satisfaction through professional appearance, and polite communication
• Comply with safety, quality & procedural standards

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

• This position has no direct reports

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

• 2-4 years' experience, residential remodeling preferred.
• Direct experience working as a skilled carpenter is required
• Knowledge of carpentry and use of carpentry-related hand and power tools
• Self-motivated
• Work in confined areas (crawl space)
• Understand and follow oral and written instructions
• Communicate effectively in oral and written forms to execute required paperwork
• Identify hazards in assigned work areas
• Work safely without presenting a direct threat to self or others
• Meet the mental and physical demands of the job
• Ability to work with people in a professional manner
• Maintains a valid and current driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
• Successfully pass a national criminal background check.

EDUCATION:

• A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
