Responsibilities

- Lead religious services, prayer sessions, or spiritual rituals tailored to individual preferences and faith traditions.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to integrate spiritual care into overall patient treatment plans.
- Offer crisis intervention and conflict management to address emotional or spiritual crises experienced by patients or families.
- Conduct educational sessions on religious studies, biblical theology, or spiritual guidance for staff or community groups as needed.
- Assist in event planning for memorial services, religious gatherings, or community outreach programs that promote spiritual well-being.
- Maintain detailed documentation of counseling sessions, spiritual assessments, and care plans in compliance with organizational policies.
Skills
- Proven experience working as a clergyperson or pastoral counselor within a hospice or healthcare setting.
- Strong teaching abilities in religious studies, biblical theology, or related fields with experience in religious education or leadership.
- Exceptional communication skills to effectively deliver public speaking engagements and facilitate group discussions.
- Demonstrated ability to work with culturally diverse communities while providing inclusive spiritual support.
- Expertise in crisis intervention, terminal illness counseling, and conflict management within emotionally charged environments.
- Skilled in mentoring staff members and providing leadership in faith-based initiatives or nonprofit organizations.
