Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to ensure the proper upkeep and functionality of our building and equipment. The ideal candidate will perform a variety of maintenance tasks to support a safe, efficient, and well-maintained environment. This role requires hands-on expertise in plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and general building interior maintenance, with a strong focus on customer service and safety.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of facilities equipment to ensure optimal operation.
- Perform plumbing system maintenance and repairs, including fixing leaks, unclogging drains, and maintaining fixtures.
- Carry out electrical work such as troubleshooting electrical issues, replacing wiring or fixtures, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Utilize hand tools effectively for various repair and maintenance tasks.
- Carry out carpentry work including repairs to walls, doors, windows, or other structural elements.
- Maintain building interiors through painting, patching walls, and general upkeep to enhance appearance and safety.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff or management with professionalism and customer service-oriented attitude.
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
Experience
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a similar role is preferred.
- Skilled in plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and general building interior maintenance.
- Familiarity with the use of hand tools and basic maintenance equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Pay: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25.0 – 40.0 per week
