What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pick Pack Attendant position at ProCaps Labs?
POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for coordinating the shipping, receiving, and storing of any and all materials necessary to meet the production requirements of our Company’s sales demand. Additional duties will be to handle all shipping required to support all other departments in the attainment of their own functional goals.
OTHER ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reads work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, distributed and/or shipped.
- Ensures work area is clean, orderly, accessible and safe at all times.
- Assembles customer orders from stock and prepares items for mailing.
- Marks materials shipped and received with the appropriate identifying information according to Standard Operating Procedures.
- Records amount of materials or items received or distributed for Inventory Control.
- Maintains all shipping/receiving paperwork.
- Assists in counting physical inventory as needed.
- Responsible for quality and continuous improvement within the job scope.
- Contributes to and supports the corporation’s quality initiatives by encouraging team and individual contributions toward the corporation’s quality improvement efforts.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- High School diploma (or equivalent)
- 1 year experience working in a warehouse or in an office capacity preferred
- Ability to key in data, type and operate a computer keyboard
- Basic math skills to have the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide
- Good reading comprehension skills to interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to effectively communicate in English via speaking, writing, and reading
- Must be willing to work overtime or on weekends, as the workload demands
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Frequently required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, balance, reach and twist
- Required to conduct repetitive hand movements
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Work occasionally near mechanical parts and in high places
- Exposure to cold temperatures in the winter and hot temperatures in the summer
- Duties are performed in a smoke-free warehouse environment
