Other Essential Job Duties And Responsibilities
- Clean lines and processing equipment as directed by established SSOPs
- Perform cleaning in place (CIP) and cleaning out of place (COP) procedures as outlined by SSOPs
- Disassemble equipment and change parts as required
- Clean and store utensils in proper location
- Knowledge of assigned cleaning chemicals and their proper usage
- Perform routine cleaning tasks in accordance to the Master Sanitation Schedule
- Ensure accurate recordkeeping to document work completed
- Respond to all sanitation requirements in a timely, effective, and professional manner
- Work with the Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and Safety when introducing new cleaning chemicals to the facility
- Perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned
- Work occasionally near mechanical parts and in high places
- Work in wet environment with hot water, foaming and cleaning agents
- Work in production areas that may occasionally be a dusty environment
- Duties are performed primarily in a smoke-free environment
MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- 2-year sanitation/cleaning experience preferably in a food manufacturing environment
- High school diploma or GED
- Computer knowledge and skills required
- Working knowledge of food manufacturing equipment and cleaning chemicals
- Ability to effectively communicate to employees in various positions and at all levels
- Must be willing to work overtime or on weekends, as the workload demands
- Frequently required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, balance, and reach
- At times might be climbing a ladder
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs
- Push/Pull up to 300 lbs
