What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping & Receiving Department position at PROCAM Photo & Video?
We are looking for a detail‑oriented Shipping & Receiving Associate to help keep our inventory, orders, and back‑of‑house operations running smoothly.What You'll Do
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against packing slips and purchase orders
- Pull, pack, and ship online orders with strong attention to accuracy and detail
- Maintain a clean, organized stockroom and shipping area
- Communicate with sales staff and management about stock issues, backorders, and special orders
- Follow company procedures for receiving return & exchange shipments
- Safely handle fragile, high‑value equipment and follow packaging standards
Qualifications
- Prior experience in retail shipping/receiving, warehouse, or inventory preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy with numbers, labels, and documentation
- Comfortable using computers, basic software, and barcode & POS systems
- Ability to lift and move boxes (typically up to 50 lbs)
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast‑paced, detail‑oriented environment
- Interest in photography/video gear is a plus but not required
