Position
We are seeking a highly organized project scheduler to implement and oversee project schedules. In this role, you will be collaborating with project managers, setting tasks, and monitoring the execution of project timelines. You may also prepare project progress and performance evaluation reports
What You'll Do
Position Summary
The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing complex transmission and distribution (T&D) construction projects from initiation through completion. This individual will apply best-in-class project management methodologies and tools to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule the project in logical steps and budget time required to meet deadlines.
- Assist with managing project costs to stay within the forecasted budget range.
- Confer with supervisory personnel, owners, subcontractors, or engineers to discuss and resolve matters, such as work procedures, complaints, or construction problems.
- Prepare contracts and negotiate revisions, changes, and additions to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Prepare and submit budget estimates, progress reports, or cost tracking reports.
- Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to administrative staff, workers, and clients, representing the owner or developer.
- Plan, organize, or direct activities concerned with the construction or maintenance of structures, facilities, or systems.
- Execute corrective actions to deal with the results of delays, bad weather, or emergencies.
What You'll Bring
Qualifications
Experience:
6–12 years of project management experience supporting transmission and distribution (T&D) projects.
Proven track record in implementing and managing PM tools and processes.
Technical Proficiency:
Microsoft Excel – Proficient
ERP Systems (JDE, SAP, PeopleSoft, Timberline, or similar) – Proficient
Primavera P6 – Proficient
SharePoint & Power BI – Preferred
Tilos – Preferred
Industry Knowledge:
Solid understanding of T&D construction methods and requirements.
Familiarity with permitting, environmental, and compliance processes relevant to utility construction.
Soft Skills
Strong verbal and written communication
Team-oriented and collaborative
High aptitude and willingness to learn
Ability to multitask and manage multiple concurrent responsibilities
Strong leadership and organizational skills
