What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Machinist / Programmer (Haas) – Fabrication position at Probotics, Inc.?
We design and build automation equipment for manufacturers and brands, and we're located right here in Lakeland. We're a small team, and the parts you make go straight into machines we ship to customers.
We’re looking for an experienced all-rounder who can take a part from print to finished component without much handholding. Some weeks it’s prototype work with our engineers, some weeks it’s production parts, some weeks it’s sheet metal. If you like variety, you’ll like this.
What you’ll be doing:
- Setting up and running CNC mills/lathes (Haas or similar)
- Writing and editing programs from drawings and models
- Manual machining and sheet metal fab as needed
- Working from drawings with GD&T
- Working directly with our build/engineering team on prototypes and production parts
- Keeping tolerances, tooling and quality where they need to be
What we’re looking for:
- 5-10 years hands on CNC experience
- Comfortable on Haas controls (or similar). Programming is a big plus
- Sheet metal fab experience
- Someone who holds tight tolerances and takes pride in the work
- Bonus if you’ve got CAD/CAM (Fusion 360, SolidWorks, etc) and can model a part, design a fixture or generate toolpaths
Pay is $30–40/hr depending on experience, plus benefits. We will pay for the right person.
If that sounds like you, send over your resume and a few lines on what you’ve been running and programming. Photos of parts you’ve made are welcome too.
