What You’ll Do
- Manage Plant Non-Conformance System 15%
- Review process for dispositioning process non-conformances and provide trend data to production
- Food Safety 15%
- Lead team efforts centered around programs to ensure food safety
- Develops plant training, conducts internal inspections and acts as a point of contact with outside agencies on the topic
- Together with other members of the leadership team, ensures compliance with Food Safety and Food Quality Plans in addition to customer requirements. Interprets and communicates customer requirements to plant production and/or support department teams. Establishes and Audits PCPs, CCPs and Standard Operating Procedures to define and monitor processes to ensure customer requirements are met. Reviews incidents during which the procedures are not met, and determines appropriate corrective action for employees failing to follow standard procedures
- Customer Requirements 10%
- Works with leaders in identifying and communicating customer requirements
- Develops PCP’s to ensure customer requirements are met
- Manage Customer Complaints Process 35%
- Receive, review, disposition and facilitate the complaint corrective action response process
- Governmental Regulations 10%
- Be knowledgeable of various government regulations, auditorial or legal requirements that must be complied with (i.e. AIB, USDA, FDA, IMS, etc.)
- Daily Operation 15%
- Work with the quality assurance team to facilitate effective communication, interaction and support between the quality group and other areas
- Serves as SQF Practitioner backup
- The designated SQF Practitioner backup is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining Safe Quality Foods (SQF) requirements in alignment with the Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) Prerequisites and Food Safety Quality Manual (FSQM) and manages the SQF System in the absence of the designated SQF practitioner
- Bachelors – Business, Engineering or related Field; combination of related education and experience may be substituted for bachelor's degree
- Minimum of 5 years' work experience within manufacturing and/or quality assurance.
