Facilities & Infrastructure Management
- Lead and coordinate all plant facilities maintenance activities including building systems, utilities, and infrastructure.
- Ensure proper installation, maintenance, and repair of facility-related equipment and systems.
- Support plant operations by maintaining reliable building infrastructure, utilities, and facility services.
- Identify and implement facility improvements and infrastructure upgrades.
- Monitor and optimize plant utilities including compressed air, electrical distribution, water systems, and HVAC infrastructure to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs.
- Work closely with the Director of Engineering to support capital projects, equipment installations, and facility improvements.
- Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager to coordinate facility-related work and ensure alignment with plant maintenance priorities.
- Support engineering initiatives requiring facility modifications, equipment relocation, or infrastructure upgrades.
- Manage machine shop operations including supervision of personnel and work prioritization.
- Ensure machining resources support maintenance, engineering, and plant operational needs.
- Maintain safe working conditions and proper equipment utilization within the shop.
- Oversee tool crib and maintenance stockroom operations including supervisor of staff.
- Ensure proper inventory control, parts availability, and supply management.
- Implement processes to improve inventory accuracy and spare parts availability.
- Manage external contractors performing facility work including installations, repairs, and infrastructure improvements.
- Coordinate contractor activities to minimize disruption to plant operations.
- Ensure contractors follow plant safety and operational procedures.
- Promote and enforce safe work practices and safety improvement initiatives.
- Ensure all facility and contractor activities comply with company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
- Act as a role model in maintaining strong industrial safety standards.
- Supervise personnel within facilities, machine shop, and stockroom operations.
- Responsible for hiring, training, development, and performance management of team members.
- Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Maintenance of production equipment and supervision of maintenance technicians remains under the responsibility of the Maintenance Manager, while the Manager – Plant Facilities focuses on plant infrastructure, building systems, utilities, contractor coordination, machine shop operations, and tool crib / stockroom management.
