ProAmpac is a leader in the packaging industry that provides packaging solutions to various industries.
Rate: $20 - $22 / hour, depending on experience. plus $1 for shift differential. Once cross-trained, pay will increase.
Schedule: Monday-Friday 3PM to 11PM. Overtime is required when necessary.
Training: A minimum of 4 - 6 weeks to train on 1st shift is required before moving to 2nd shift.

Job Responsibilities:
The primary role will be in Quality but will also be trained as a Bag Operator. This role will work in the Converting department if fully staffed in Quality.
- Ensures all QA bench-top test equipment is calibrated and functioning properly.
- Documents. samples and quarantines non-conforming material and maintains other sample requirements as defined.
- Follows all safety policies and quality procedures.
- Conducts in-process inspections and tests verification for Quality, and Food Packaging Safety requirements.
- Operate pouch machines to produce bags according to customer specifications while making minor adjustments to the machines by detecting details, following instructions and safety procedures, coordinating efforts, testing the product, and remembering/recalling information.
- Use electric pallet jacks to move full pallets.
- When a machine is down and/or on a set up, the operator is expected to actively assist the set up person with duties such as splicing, moving pallets, unwrapping pallets, gathering required components for job being set up, such as wickets spools, chip board cartons and so on.
- Keep the workplace organized by blowing out the machine, sweeping, and changing the punch bags.
- Complete necessary paperwork and production sheets.
Job Qualifications:
- Associates degree is preferred with a concentration in mathematics.
- Two to five years' experience in a manufacturing environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Prior 2 years quality lab experience in a similar role utilizing testing equipment, strongly preferred.
- Strong attention to detail is required for this role.
- Strong basic math skills and be able to read a ruler and make measurements.
- Must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team, effectively communicate, get along with others with a positive attitude.
- Must be well organized.
- Must be comfortable working with quality testing equipment at the site.
