Property Manager

ProActive Real Estate Services is seeking a Property Manager to oversee property management responsibilities in Norfolk, Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Portsmouth, Newport News, Hampton, and Suffolk.

Position Summary

As a Property Manager, you will oversee day-to-day management of single-family homes and multifamily properties to ensure assets are protected, revenues are increased, and costs are optimized. You will work closely with ProActive’s three core teams – Maintenance, Leasing, and Accounting – to provide a high-quality tenant experience and to help property owners achieve their goals.

As a property manager, you will have the full line of sight into everything happening at the properties you manage. You will communicate with prospective applicants, tenants, contractors, and owners; you will prepare onboarding, leasing, and notice documents; and you will ensure monthly rent and owner financial statements are delivered in a timely manner. In a sense, you will be running a “business within a business,” growing and managing your own portfolio while being supported by ProActive’s extensive resources and team.

Nice to Haves

• Licensed real estate salesperson in Virginia
• Two or more years in property management related field
• Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and household devices
• General knowledge of accounting and financial reporting
• Familiarity with property management software

Where You Will Work

• In-person at our office (2014 Granby St, Norfolk, VA 23517) and, from time-to-time, virtually in the vicinity of Hampton Roads.

Who You Will Work With

• ProActive’s maintenance supervisors, inspectors, leasing coordinators, and accountants. Third-party contractors, tenants, and property owners.

Compensation and Benefits

• Annual base salary equivalent to share of management fees collected, payable bi-weekly
• Monthly performance bonus
• Ability to opt-in for company health benefits package after first 60 days of employment
