Duties
- Perform thorough patient assessments, including history-taking, physical exams, and functional evaluations in outpatient, inpatient, and procedural settings.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment and rehabilitation plans for patients with musculoskeletal, neurological, or pain-related conditions under the supervision and collaboration of the PM&R physician.
- Administer medications and injections, including joint and trigger point injections, within scope of practice.
- Assist with procedures such as suturing, catheterization, venipuncture, wound care, and other interventions relevant to physical medicine and rehabilitation.
- Document all patient encounters and treatment plans accurately in the electronic health record (EHR) system (Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth).
- Coordinate with physical therapists, occupational therapists, and other specialists to deliver comprehensive rehabilitative care.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, patient education programs, and ongoing professional development.
- Support telemedicine visits and follow-up consultations when appropriate.
