Job Overview
We're looking for a mechanic to help us do general maintenance and repairs for our vehicle and equipment fleet
Duties
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and fuel system issues on small engines, equipment and autos using schematics and technical manuals
- Perform repairs including engine repairs, electrical wiring, welding and component replacements
- Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, filter replacements, and tune-ups to ensure optimal engine performance
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to disassemble, repair, and reassemble machinery efficiently
- Test repaired equipment to verify proper operation and safety standards are met before returning to customers
- Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and inspection reports for each job performed
- Assist customers with technical advice on equipment operation and maintenance best practices
Experience
Service technician background working with small engines or similar machinery
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive repair, equipment repair, or generator repair
- Familiarity with schematics and electrical systems
- Skilled in welding, soldering, and the use of hand tools and power tools for complex repairs
- Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics accurately
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $ $22.00 per hour
