Pro-Tops is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Stone Slab Polisher for our 3rd shift (10:00 PM – 6:00 AM) to join our production team. In this role, you will be responsible for polishing and finishing granite, quartz, and other stone slabs to meet high-quality standards and customer specifications. The ideal candidate has experience using stone polishing equipment or a strong willingness to learn and grow within the role.

In this role, you will be responsible for polishing and finishing granite, quartz, and other stone slabs to meet high-quality standards and customer specifications. The ideal candidate has experience using stone polishing equipment or a strong willingness to learn and grow within the role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate, monitor, and maintain stone polishing machinery.
- Grind, hone, and polish stone surfaces to achieve a consistent, high-quality finish.
- Inspect slabs for cracks, chips, or other defects before and after polishing.
- Apply sealants or protective coatings as needed.
- Measure and trim stone slabs to specified dimensions.
- Assist with loading and unloading stone using appropriate tools and equipment.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the supervisor.
- Follow all company safety procedures and use required PPE.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in stone polishing or a similar trade is a plus.
- Familiarity with various types of stone and polishing techniques.
- Ability to operate and maintain polishing machines and related tools.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control.
- Physical strength and stamina to lift, move, and handle heavy slabs.
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Bi-Lingual (Spanish)
- Portuguese is a plus
Required Skills:
- Machine Operation – Moderate proficiency; experience with polishing equipment is preferred.
- Stone Inspection – High proficiency; ability to identify defects and ensure quality standards are met.
- Physical Strength – High proficiency; must be able to lift and maneuver heavy stone slabs.
- Attention to Detail – High proficiency; capable of producing a consistent and high-quality polished finish.
- Safety Awareness – High proficiency; strict adherence to company safety procedures and PPE requirements.

Equipment Maintenance – Moderate proficiency; able to perform basic troubleshooting and routine upkeep of machines.
Working Conditions:
- Work takes place in a shop or warehouse environment.
- Regular exposure to dust, noise, vibration, and heavy machinery.
- Physical demands include prolonged standing, lifting (up to 70 lbs), bending, and reaching.
- Must wear protective gear including gloves, safety glasses, and hearing protection (provided by company).
