Key Accountabilities
- Conducting OGI (Optical Gas Imaging) Surveys using an infrared FLIR Camera to detect leaks.
- Conducting AVO (audio, visual, olfactory) Surveys to ensure proper operation of equipment.
- Executing inspections with general understanding of normal operating conditions and inspecting with integrity.
- Properly utilizing different applications for planning, tracking, and recording information.
- Taking ownership of assigned workload while diligently working within timelines.
- Assuring safe and environmentally compliant operations of all company owned or rental compressors, gas driven generators, and VRUs
- Training to support that all shutdowns and safety devices are in place and functional
- Supporting the preparation, installation, and startup of new emissions control equipment
- Supporting and overseeing all new site construction, layout, and piping needs
- Training to support all sites meet or exceed environmental laws, rules, and regulations
- Monitoring and optimizing existing units
- Recognizing opportunities for increased efficiency and recommending units for replacement or alternate lift and work with operations engineer to manage changes
- Setting up tracking tools to analyze and document all related performance metrics such as runtime, mechanical availability, fuel consumption, throughput, and environmental compliance
- Assisting lease operators and production foremen with related issues
- Reviewing vendor invoices and confirm correct charges for both rate and any performance metric corrections
- Performing similar duties for installation and operation of gas engine-driven generators and vapor recovery units (VRUs)
- Monitoring VRU operation and controls to prevent oxygen entry into the system
- Documenting all incidents or abnormal operations to supervisor
- Entry level, typically 0-3 years of experience.
