CNC Press Brake Operator

Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Press Brake Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and setting up press brake machines to bend and shape plate steel with precision and efficiency. Your expertise in various fabrication techniques and attention to detail will ensure the production of high-quality components that meet strict specifications. Duties

• Set up and operate press brake machines to produce accurate bends according to detailed blueprints and technical drawings
• Read and interpret complex blueprints, technical specifications, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards to ensure precise fabrication
• Use hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments for quality inspection and measurement verification
• Adjust machine tooling, pressure, and bending parameters to achieve desired results while minimizing material waste
• Collaborate with team members on fabrication projects involving CNC laser cutting, plasma cutting, CNC milling machines, welding, and assembly processes
• Conduct routine maintenance checks on press brake equipment.

Experience

• Proven experience operating press brake machines in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
• Knowledge of CNC programming, setup procedures.
• Ability to read detailed blueprints and interpret GD&T specifications accurately
• Mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of tooling setups, mechanical systems.
• Basic math skills necessary for calculating dimensions, angles, and material requirements
• Experience working with sheet metal fabrication processes including tooling selection and quality inspection standards
• Knowledge of safety protocols related to crane operation, hand tools usage, machining equipment, and material handling devices like forklifts

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.60 - $28.42 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
