Landscape Installation Crew Members (6–8 Positions)

Job Description
We are hiring 6–8 Landscape Crew Members to join our growing team in Helena, Montana. This crew will be responsible for a variety of landscape installation projects for residential and commercial properties. Primary Responsibilities
- Install sod and assist with hydroseeding projects
- Plant shrubs, trees, and other landscape materials
- Install and assist with irrigation systems
- Build and install fences
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and basic landscape equipment skidsteers and attacments
- Load, unload, and transport materials and equipment
- Follow safety procedures and job site instructions
- Work efficiently as part of a team to meet project deadlines
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous landscaping, construction, or outdoor labor experience preferred (but not required)
- Ability to perform physical labor in varying weather conditions
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs and perform repetitive physical tasks
- Basic knowledge of tools and equipment is helpful
- Valid driver’s license is a plus
- Reliable, punctual, and strong work ethic
- Ability to follow directions and work well with others

Responsibilities
- Assist in landscape installation projects, including planting trees, shrubs, and flowers, and laying hardscape features such as patios or walkways
- Perform routine lawn care tasks such as mowing, edging, trimming, and aerating to maintain healthy turf and vibrant landscapes
- Conduct landscape maintenance activities including pruning, tree trimming, irrigation system checks, and seasonal clean-up
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently for various landscaping tasks
- Support snow plowing operations during winter months to ensure safe access and clear pathways
- Maintain equipment such as excavators, lawn mowers, trimmers, and other landscaping machinery through routine checks and basic maintenance
- Follow safety protocols at all times while working with heavy machinery like excavators or during construction projects
Experience
- Prior experience in landscaping, gardening, or groundskeeping is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated learners
- Basic mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and perform maintenance on hand tools and power equipment
- Familiarity with lawn care practices including mowing, fertilizing, aeration, and weed control
- Knowledge of landscape maintenance techniques such as irrigation system management and tree care practices
- Ability to operate landscaping machinery such as excavators or snow plows is a plus but not mandatory
- Strong work ethic with the physical stamina to perform outdoor tasks in various weather conditions
- A positive attitude eager to learn new skills in horticulture, hardscape installation, and seasonal upkeep

Pay: $21.00 - $29.48 per hour
