FUNDAMENTAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Customer Service: Assistant managers are expected to have the ability to interact with the customer on a daily basis. This interaction includes sales, answering any questions about wash packages, chemicals, etc. It also includes conducting yourself with a high level of professionalism when handling different customer interactions that occur.
- Equipment/Site Maintenance: Assistant managers will be responsible for 1stlevel maintenance of the equipment and site and assisting the manager in working with vendors and suppliers when needed. Lastly, assistant managers will be responsible for the cleanliness of the entire site and managing the shift work force to accomplish this cleanliness in a way that does not affect the production of the wash.
- Safety: Customer & employee safety is ultimately the responsibility of each employee. As assistant manager, you will need to step in when the manager is unavailable to address any safety concerns on site and remedy the issue immediately to avoid any future injury.
- Marketing: Assistant managers will be expected to fully participate in any marketing strategies implemented by the site manager. Assistant manager’s ideas will always be considered for future marketing and is highly encouraged. Assistant managers may also be asked to sit in marketing/planning meetings with the manager for added assistance.
- Community Relations & Fundraising: Assistant managers are responsible for maintaining the car wash’s reputation in the community by presenting themselves in a professional manner both on and off site. Also, full participation is expected during fundraising events, and any ideas for future fundraising is encouraged as well.
REQUIREMENTS:
- MUST have management experience
- Be able to perform the duties above to the best of your ability
- Be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Be on your feet for 8 hours/day
- Work outdoors in different weather conditions (heat & cold)
- Complete all the crew member responsibilities with a high level of proficiency
- Work with people from all cultural (race, ethnicity, religion, etc.) and work backgrounds
- Exercise good customer service skills (both sales and marketing)
- Organizational skills
- Proficiency in PC applications(i.e. Microsoft Office Suite) and be a quick learner of specialized software (DRB, Camera Software, etc.)
- Be person of integrity/honesty that handles themselves in a professional manner both at work and at home
