General Summary

As a Clinic Director/PT for PRO~PT, you will serve as a leader of a designated location to develop and manage a highly functioning team that consistently delivers the best in patient care and customer service. Clinic directors work with senior leadership, physicians, and hospital partners to ensure operational efficiency across all service lines. They are a clinical

expert resource to staff regarding patient needs and clinical oversight. Additionally, the Clinic Director is a Physical Therapist that provides a variety of healthcare services to help individuals who have been injured or physically affected by illness to recover or improve function. A Physical Therapist must be able to evaluate a patient's condition and devise a

customized physical rehabilitation and treatment plan. The Physical Therapist's goal is to develop, maintain and restore maximum movement and functional ability, to maximize quality of life.

Essential Job Functions

  • Provides supervision and mentorship to Physical Therapists, Physical Therapist Assistants, Front Office Personnel,PT aides, and PT or PTA Students.
  • Facilitating implementation of company initiatives, changes in policy, regulations, processes, and procedures.
  • Providing accurate and timely communication to the owners and executives of PRO~PT concerning business operations, associate performance, and marketing direction.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state and local physical therapy practice guidelines.
  • Overseeing implementation of PRO~PT’s business direction and business practices on a day to day basis.
  • Meet/exceed key practice metrics established by the COO that include service quality goals, promptness, consistency of attendance, and patient satisfaction scores.
  • With guidance of COO, create and maintain an operational budget
  • Communicate with team members to ensure quality care is being provided.
  • Evaluates patients and interprets evaluation findings to determine the nature and extent of dysfunction.
  • Establishes treatment goals and plans treatment to achieve established goals. Initiates discharge planning from physical therapy.
  • Implements the treatment program through direct treatment of the patient, may delegate a portion of the treatment plan to appropriate supportive personnel, and coordination of the treatment plan with other health care personnel as appropriate.
  • Provides accurate and timely documentation and billing of physical therapy patient management.
  • Demonstrates progress toward meeting the criteria for professional practice, good analytical assessment skills, independent decision-making.
  • Educate patient and family on proper care plans.
  • Adheres to applicable laws, regulations, and standards.
  • Regular, consistent, and predictable attendance per PRO-PT’s attendance and punctuality policy.
  • Weekends and evening work isare required as needed.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Bilingual English/Spanish (Spoken & Written) is preferred, not required.
  • Education and Training — Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects.
  • Administration and Management — Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, budgeting, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources is preferred, not required.
  • Law and Government — Knowledge of laws and legal codes as they pertain to the profession of physical therapy.
  • Personnel and Human Resources — Knowledge of principles and procedures for personnel recruitment, selection, training, compensation and benefits, labor relations and negotiation, and personnel information systems is preferred, not required.
  • Critical Thinking — Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
  • Active Listening — Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
  • Monitoring — Monitoring/Assessing performance of yourself, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action.
  • Judgment and Decision Making — Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.
  • Time Management — Managing one's own time and the time of others.
  • Complex Problem Solving — Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
  • Learning Strategies — Selecting and using training/instructional methods and procedures appropriate for the situation when learning or teaching new things.
  • Management of Personnel Resources — Motivating, developing, and directing people as they work, identifying the best people for the job.
  • Systems Evaluation — Identifying measures or indicators of system performance and the actions needed to improve or correct performance, relative to the goals of the system.
  • Quality Control Analysis — Conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or
  • performance.
  • Practitioner Abilities – Ability to perform all duties effectively as a Physical Therapist or Physical Therapist Assistant.

Education, Experience, and Licensure

  • Licensed to practice as Physical Therapist in California required.
  • Doctorate or MS degree in Physical Therapy (Bachelor’s Degrees will be considered)
  • OCS Certification preferred, not required.
  • McKenzie trained – A and B preferred, not required.
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification: Required
  • Intermediate computer skills in Word and Excel
  • No previous or current sanctions by federal payors (CMS, Blue Cross, Blue Shield, Champus/Tricare, etc…) or other payors inclusive of state workers compensation system
  • Additional preferred qualifications: Managed a budget, identified staffing needs, developed and maintained relationships with community and physician referral sources, excellent clinical care and patient interaction, managed labor costs, supported and trained staff, lead and teach staff physical therapists, led team meetings, flexibility with schedule.

Physical Requirements

  • Hearing: Adequate to perform job duties in person and over the telephone.
  • Speaking: Must be able to communicate clearly to patients in person and over the telephone.
  • Vision: Visual acuity adequate to perform job duties, including visual examination of patient and reading information from printed sources and computer screens.
  • Other: Requires frequent lifting and carrying items weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted. Requires frequent bending, reaching, repetitive hand movements, standing, walking, squatting and sitting, regularly throughout a regular work shift.
  • Requires exposure to communicable diseases, bodily fluids, medicinal preparations and other conditions common to clinic environment.
