What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sawyers position at Pro Pallet LLC?
Pro Pallet, LLC., A Full Service Pallet Company in Central Pennsylvania has immediate openings for 1st shift Sawyers at our Dover location.
- 1st shift hours are Monday-Thursday 7am-3:45pm and Fridays 7am-2:30pm
Job Description:
- Set up the saw machine, making adjustments for each job
- Set stops or guides to specified lengths
- Operate the saw machine, keeping an eye out for any defects or issues
- Use measurement tools to ensure accuracy
- Use accuracy when measuring and cutting boards and runners from spec sheets
- Check cuts before starting and during the course of the run to ensure accuracy
- Changing blades as they become dull using all safety measures
- Stack all outgoing material neatly in bunks provided
- Ensure all bunks removed are properly marked by size of lumber
- Accurately complete paperwork
Experience is not required and training will be provided. Applicants must be able to read a tape measure, lift up to 50lbs, and be able to stand for 8 hours.
