Job Title: Intensive Care Unit Nurse
13- week contract
Shift time: 645pm-7:15am
Weekly $2200.00
Pro Med Healthcare Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nurse to provide critical care to patients in need of intensive medical attention. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality care, utilizing advanced nursing skills and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:- Monitor and assess critically ill patients continuously to detect changes in condition.
- Administer medications, intravenous fluids, and treatments prescribed by physicians.
- Operate and interpret readings from life support, monitoring devices, and other specialized medical equipment.
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other medical staff to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families.
- Document patient care accurately and maintain detailed health records.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and safety procedures within the ICU.
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Intensive Care Unit or critical care setting.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications.
- Strong critical thinking, clinical assessment, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
