What are the responsibilities and job description for the VP of Sales, National Retail Accounts position at Pro-Mart Industries, Inc.?
About Us
PMI is a fast-growing consumer products company whose products are sold in stores nationwide. We’re expanding our presence with the country’s biggest retailers, and we’re looking for a proven sales leader to own those relationships and drive our next stage of growth.
The Role
As VP of Sales, you’ll be the face of PMI to our most important retail partners, mainly Walmart. You’ll own the full account relationship, from buyer meetings and line reviews to managing our inhouse sales support, forecasting, product development, replenishment team, and in-store execution. Manage and grow our existing placements across seven Walmart departments, each with its own buyer, modular calendar, and set of merchandising priorities. This is a high-visibility role with direct impact on company revenue and a clear path for growth.
We strongly prefer candidates based in Northwest Arkansas, close to Walmart’s home office. Exceptional candidates located elsewhere will be considered if they can travel to Bentonville regularly.
What You’ll Do
• Own and grow the Walmart business and our other major retail accounts, serving as the primary contact for buyers, merchants, and replenishment teams
• Build and execute joint business plans that deliver on sales, margin, and distribution goals
• Prepare for and lead line reviews, modular resets, and new item pitches
• Use Retail Link, Walmart Luminate, and syndicated data to identify opportunities and tell a compelling story
• Partner with supply chain to keep in-stocks and OTIF performance strong
• Manage trade spend, promotions, and rollback strategy with a focus on ROI
• Expand relationships with additional national retailers
• Deliver accurate forecasts and regular business reviews to leadership
What You Bring
• 5 years of sales or account management experience with Walmart and/or other major national retailers, ideally in Home Goods
• Hands-on expertise with Retail Link / Luminate and strong analytical skills (Excel a must)
• A track record of winning new distribution and growing existing business
• Confidence presenting to senior buyers and internal leadership
• Solid understanding of retail supply chain, replenishment, and compliance requirements
• A self-starter mindset and comfort working in a fast-paced, growing organization
• Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience
• Ability to travel as needed
What We Offer
• Competitive base salary, plus uncapped commission on account growth
• Health, dental, and vision insurance
• 401(k) with company match
• Paid sick days and holidays
• Travel reimbursement
• The chance to make a real impact on a company that’s growing
