JOB OVERVIEW
We are hiring a Mobile Diesel & Gas Fleet Technician to join ProLine Diesel Repair LLC. This position is 100% mobile, working out of a company-provided service van performing on-site repairs for fleet customers across Santa Clarita, the San Fernando Valley, and Antelope Valley.
You will handle diagnostics, repairs, PM services, electrical work, Clean Truck Check smog testing, and dealer-level programming. We supply OEM-level diagnostic tools, factory software, specialty tools, and a fully equipped van. You bring your own basic hand tools.
This position offers $100k earning potential, paid bi-weekly, and the freedom to work independently without shop politics.
Occasional weekend work may be needed for fleet emergencies or pre-scheduled fleet jobs.
We provide training for diesel systems, module flashing, and Clean Truck Check.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform mobile diagnostics on gas and diesel fleet vehicles
- Complete repairs including brakes, suspension, steering, electrical, and PM services
- Diagnose and repair diesel systems including injectors, fuel systems, sensors, and emissions
- Perform California Clean Truck Check (diesel smog) testing (training provided if needed)
- Use OEM-level software to perform module programming, flashing, and software updates
- Complete DOT inspections, safety inspections, and general fleet maintenance
- Maintain accurate digital service records for each fleet vehicle
- Communicate clearly with dispatch and customers
- Operate and maintain a fully equipped company service van
- Work independently in the field while upholding company standards
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment
- Be available for occasional weekend jobs if needed (rare and scheduled in advance)
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Required:
- 3 years experience as a diesel OR gas technician
- Strong diagnostic and electrical troubleshooting ability
- Valid California driver’s license and clean driving record
- Ability to work independently in the field
- Must supply your own basic hand tools
- Professional communication and reliability
- Willingness to work occasional weekend jobs if required
Preferred but not required:
- Diesel experience (we will train strong gas techs)
- Mobile mechanic or field service experience
- Experience with OEM software, module flashing, or programming
- Clean Truck Check or smog experience
- ASE certifications
- Fleet maintenance or commercial vehicle experience
Pay: $74,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
