Responsibilities
- Use ladders and scaffolding safely to access high or hard-to-reach areas of kitchen exhaust systems
- Perform detailed cleaning of ductwork, hoods, filters, fans, and related components using industrial cleaning tools and pressure washing equipment
- Handle manual tasks such as disassembling parts, replacing filters, and using hand tools to ensure thorough cleaning
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols by wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including gloves, masks, goggles, and fire extinguishers when necessary
- Conduct outdoor work in various weather conditions while maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency
- Manage heavy lifting tasks associated with removing or installing large components or equipment
- Follow all safety procedures related to industrial cleaning, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals and use of fire extinguishers for emergencies
- Maintain detailed records of cleaning activities, inspections, and safety checks for compliance purposes
- Support customer service efforts by communicating clearly with clients about work progress and safety measures
Experience
- Prior experience in industrial or commercial cleaning is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Familiarity with ladder use and working at heights safely is highly desirable
- Experience with pressure washing equipment, hand tools, or duct cleaning is advantageous
- Outdoor work experience is beneficial as the role involves exposure to various weather conditions
