Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated, reliable, and organized Die-Cut Production Team Leader to oversee daily die-cutting operations. This hands-on leadership role requires a proactive individual who can set up and operate die-cutting machinery, interpret blueprints, manage a small team, and operate a forklift. You will work closely with the Production Manager to optimize workflow, ensure safety, and meet production goals.Key Responsibilities:
- Production Leadership: Assist production manager and lead the day-to-day activities of the die-cut production team, assigning tasks, providing training, and ensuring maximum efficiency.
- Machine Setup & Operation: Set up, run, and troubleshoot die-cutting machines (e.g., flatbed/travel head) to meet quality standards.
- Technical Proficiency: Read and interpret blue prints, job tickets, and technical drawings to ensure precise cutting and folding.
- Material Handling: Operate a forklift to move raw materials, load machines, and transport finished goods to the staging area.
- Production Support: Assist the Production Manager with scheduling, inventory tracking, and process improvement projects.
- Quality Assurance: Inspect finished products to detect defects, verify dimensions, and ensure compliance with customer specifications and our ISO Certification.
- Safety & Maintenance: Enforce safety protocols, maintain a clean workspace, and perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment.
- Reliability: Maintain excellent attendance and punctuality to ensure team cohesion and production continuity.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 2-5 years of experience operating die-cutting machinery preferred, but not required. Previous leadership/team lead experience is a requirement.
- Technical Skills: Ability to read blueprints/technical drawings and interpret production work instructions.
- Equipment Certification: Valid forklift license/certification required.
- Mechanical Aptitude: Strong troubleshooting skills to adjust machine settings and minimize downtime.
- Organization: High level of organization and reliability; ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long hours and lift up to 50 lbs
Compensation and Work Schedule:
- $18-22/HR based on experience
