As an Assistant Bakery/Deli Manager, you’ll support daily operations, lead team members, and help drive sales and customer satisfaction in a fast-paced grocery store bakery and deli environment.

What You’ll Do
- Assist in managing daily operations of the bakery and deli departments
- Supervise and support team members in the absence of the manager
- Ensure food safety, sanitation, and quality standards are maintained
- Assist with inventory management, ordering, and stock control
- Provide excellent customer service and resolve customer concerns
- Support hiring, training, and development of team members
- Execute promotions, merchandising, and product displays
- Monitor product quality, freshness, and proper labeling
- Help drive sales, profitability, and operational efficiency
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in food service, restaurant, retail, or grocery management preferred
- Leadership or supervisory experience is a plus
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Basic math and financial understanding (inventory, sales, labor)
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Food Handler Permit required (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Flexible full-time availability (days, evenings, weekends, holidays)
Work Environment
- Fast-paced grocery store bakery and deli
- Exposure to hot cooking equipment and cold storage areas
- Standing for extended periods; lifting up to 50 lbs
