Job Summary:
The primary focus of this position is to work alongside Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E) company teams to ensure projects are completed per company standards, engineering design, regulatory guidelines, permits and schedule; and that all retained documents associated with the work are to compliance.
Example of Duties:
- Acts as liaison between PG&E Project Management team and contractor companies.
- May be required to make decisions on behalf of PG&E.
- Works directly with managers, project managers, planners, and other departments to achieve project objectives and ensure they are within established parameters.
- Reviews unit cost sheets to assure that utility company quality and standards are met.
- Reports out on production and project status.
- Performs pre- and completion- job walks.
- Attends internal and external project and safety meetings.
- Maintains public and employee safety on site at all times by promoting a positive safety culture, exhibiting an absolute commitment to safety for self and others, and by ensuring all applicable safety rules, regulations and standards are followed.
- May handle customer communications, field, and incident reporting.
- May provide oversight on material ordering and prepare job packages.
- May do regulatory reporting.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient using software applications on a computer and iPad.
- Plan, coordinate and organize work to successfully meet deadlines.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
- Ability to read and interpret job designs, safety plans and permit requirements.
- Familiar with Title 8 and NECA (National Electric Contractor Association) rules and requirements.
- Familiar with Program Safety Plan or Project Specific Safety Plan.
- Familiar with CPUC General Orders 95 (OH) and 128 (UG).
- Knowledgeable in Utility Procedure TD-2908P-01.
- Extremely knowledgeable on utility company’s standards and electrical work, and able to train other personnel.
- Be comfortable working autonomously.
Experience/Education:
- 3-5 years of management experience required.
- At least 5 years of experience performing work on PG&E company’s property required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Construction Management degree strongly preferred.
Licenses/Certifications:
- Possession of a valid California driver's license, Class C, with the ability to maintain insurability under the company’s insurance carrier.
- OSHA 10
- OSHA 30 preferred
- CPR/First Aid
