JOB SUMMARY:
The Maintenance and Facility Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing facility equipment and infrastructure, with a strong emphasis on CNC machine maintenance and troubleshooting. This role will proactively ensure that Safety and Quality standards, Operational efficiency, and equipment reliability are consistently met. Ideal candidates will have a solid mechanical and electrical aptitude with hands-on experience working on CNC machines in a manufacturing environment. This person is expected to show high ownership,treat everyone with respect and follow Pro-Dex values.
JOB DUTIES:
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) and corrective maintenance on CNC machines (e.g., lathes, mills, grinders, etc.), auxiliary and facility equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic, chemical energy etc source issues on CNC and facility equipment.
- Work with production and engineering teams to minimize equipment downtime and improve machine reliability.
- Maintain building facilities including HVAC, lighting, plumbing, safety systems, and general repairs.
- Coordinate with OEMs (Original equipment manufacturer) and vendors for CNC parts, repairs, and upgrades.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, Safety, and Environmental policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and logs using CMMS or manual tracking.
- Support installation and commissioning of new CNC machines and auxiliary equipment.
- Assist in equipment moves, facility modifications, and layout planning as needed.
- Respond to emergency maintenance calls and support after-hours facility needs when required.
- Maintain PM records and comply with all MDSAP and ISO 13485 requirements.
- Work collaboratively in teams to help resolve issues and help us continuously improve.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree in industrial maintenance, mechatronics, or related field preferred.
- 5 years of hands-on experience with CNC machinery maintenance (Fanuc, Haas, Mazak, etc.).
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
- Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Comfortable working in industrial and manufacturing environments.
- Basic computer skills; familiarity with CMMS systems a plus.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders, and perform physical work safely.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Accountable to keeping all equipment on Manufacturing floor and facility environment in reliable shape with occasional outdoor work.
- Wear all required PPE to protect self and lead by example. Potential exposure to noise, moving mechanical parts, and possible temperature extremes.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required.
- Deliver results and ensure compliance with all laws and regulations.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or GED required; trade certification or technical degree in maintenance or engineering preferred.

Demonstrates strong interpersonal and communication skills essential for a collaborative manufacturing environment. Effectively communicates with team members, supervisors, and vendors to ensure smooth maintenance operations. Maintains professionalism under pressure, adapts to changing priorities, and contributes to a positive, solution-focused team culture.
