COMPANY SUMMARY: Pro Coat LLC is an Industrial Services contractor operating in the Mid-Atlantic Region. We offer a wide variety of services: Coatings / Painting, Waterproofing, Concrete Foundations, Pile Driving and Industrial Services General Contracting.
Pro Coat has approximately forty field staff, including six superintendents. We have four project managers along with owner, Bruce Ennis, who directly manages concrete and general construction management jobs at NASA, Wallops Island. Our mission is to help protect and prolong industrial assets for our clients.
POSITION PURPOSE: To manage all aspects of job management specifically with NASA Wallops projects. Estimating, quoting and contract management of jobs. Directing Pro Coat labor and subcontractor’s activities to ensure bottom line success.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Project success, bottom line, profitability, and project management. Organize job, resources, labor, materials, rentals, and subcontractors effectively to reach optimum efficiency. Effectively manage day-to-day work. Serve as a resource to customers and assist with job problem-solving.
- Project planning. Prepare work order/job files, including all pertinent information necessary for foremen to easily start projects. Meet with foremen and/or subcontractors and provide all details for the job, such as scope of work, location & room layouts, materials, point of contact, paint colors, rental required, etc.
- Producing sales volume. Plan sales strategy, including outreach/sales calls to both new and existing customers. Achieves yearly sales goals. Follow up on open quotes and bids. Identify status and feedback on whether Pro Coat will be awarded this bid, or any feedback if we are not successful
- Estimating & quoting jobs. Interpret drawings and specifications; develop the scope of work required to price and bid project. Identify all requirements of the bid process and associated documentation and paperwork.
- Timely and effective communication with customers and employees.
- Contract administration. Provide contract information from bid packages: payment applications, wage scale details, and insurance / COI requirements to the Admin Department. Prepare project submittals according to the job bid package and requirements. Compile job close-out documents and forms needed, including any warranty forms and letters or special manufacturer warranties
- Support Pro Coat Safety Process & Programs. Actively assist field staff with identifying potential safety hazards and taking steps to prevent accidents. Assist with the safety training process.
QUALIFICATIONS / EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of seven years in construction estimating or project management. Sound knowledge of construction practices.
- Comprehensive knowledge of reading and interpreting construction plans and blueprints. Able to extract all critical job requirements and specifications.
- Specific, in-depth knowledge of concrete construction and paint systems and products.
- Able to utilize automated take-off software to compile pertinent quantities of areas, materials, and labor. Experience with estimating calculations and developing accurate accounting of all cost components: materials, labor, rent, and subs. Proficient at developing a price proposal/quotation with specific job scope of work – inclusions and exclusions.
- Experience and expertise in office software and technology. Excellent automation skills; Outlook, Word, Excel.
- Excellent time management, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
- High degree of self-motivation and self-direction.
- Two-year higher education or construction vocational training.
WORK SCHEDULE: Normally Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 4:00 pm with a lunch break.
LOCATION: Pro Coat office – 30755 Park Drive, Princess Anne, MD
PHYSICAL REQUIRMENTS: Requires a full range of body motion, including manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Involves standing and walking for periods of time. Requires normal visual acuity and hearing.
