Mission driven social justice organization coordinating free legal services is seeking a bright and skilled professional with significant grant experience in the nonprofit sector to manage multiple governmental (including state and local grants) and foundation grants. Relationships in and knowledge of Maryland’s legal and/or philanthropic community is beneficial. The ideal candidate for this role will have a passion for nonprofit work, strong technical skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. They should be detail-oriented, organized, and personable and able to collaborate effectively with team members. We are looking for a self-starter who is also a team player, possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills, and can manage a robust calendar of grant-related deadlines. They will also be responsible for grant compliance and assist with grant drafting/editing. Competitive salary commensurate with experience with excellent benefits, including 401K plan, medical, dental, drug and vision coverage, short-term disability and paid vacation and sick time. Primarily remote work schedule.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Oversee all grants and reimbursable contracts to ensure accountability and compliance with existing federal, state and local laws and regulations and all existing or new grant requirements.
- Provide guidance in interpreting and executing applicable regulations and award terms and conditions.
- Ensure that documentation, application, and reporting requirements are met prior to due dates.
- Develop and memorialize policies/procedures/systems in accordance with government regulations and organizational needs and objectives.
- Work with program managers to create and inform program budgets and assist with financial backup.
- Maintain a system for policies and best practices related to PBRC compliance with grants, including a tracking schedule for grant renewal and reporting deadlines and responsible parties for tasks.
- Review and approve all grant-related payment requests, bills, invoices and statements.
- Annually review and update Grant Management Policies and other applicable policies to ensure compliance with current regulations.
- Work with Directors to nurture current foundation relationships, identify new foundation prospects, and assist with grant-writing and editing.
- Assist in developing fundraising goals for organization.
- Bachelor’s degree with minimum of 3-5 years of experience in fundraising;
- Strong attention to details, with experience in grant writing and grant management;
- Computer literacy, including competency with MSWord, Excel, websites, and database management;
- Strong commitment to helping the community and ensuring equal access to justice.
- Competitive salary ranging from $54,000-65,000 per annum depending on experience.
- Full-time position with excellent benefits package, including paid health insurance, disability insurance, and employer-matched 401k plan, paid sick and vacation leave, and paid holidays.
- Hybrid in-person/remote work.
