Responsibilities

• Assist customers by providing expert guidance on landscape materials, including mulch, soil, stone, and hardscape products
• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and small machinery such as excavators to load and unload materials
• Maintain the organization and cleanliness of the yard, ensuring materials are properly stored and accessible
• Support landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, tree trimming, lawn care, irrigation setup, and snow plowing during seasonal changes
• Conduct routine inspections of equipment like excavators and other machinery to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance
• Assist with general yard maintenance including gardening tasks, tree care, horticulture activities, and hardscape installations
• Collaborate with team members on construction projects involving landscaping or hardscape features to ensure timely completion

Experience

• Prior experience working with landscaping or construction materials is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates
• Mechanical knowledge or familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and small machinery such as excavators is highly advantageous
• Knowledge of lawn care practices, landscape maintenance techniques, tree care, irrigation systems, gardening, and snow plowing enhances your suitability for this role
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting heavy materials, operating equipment safely, and working outdoors in various weather conditions
• Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude are essential for collaborating effectively with team members and assisting customers
