Summary
Perform Magnetic Resonance Imaging ( MRI) procedures at a safe and experienced level without direct supervision. Unified by the core purpose of creating a healthier community one person at a time, the members of the Division of Patient Care Services commit themselves to sustaining a culture focused on achieving optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
Provides excellent customer support by providing the best service possible. Displays a commitment to the value of teamwork by building strong relationships with patients, families, co-workers and the surrounding community by being cooperative and collaborative in the performance of duties, promoting a unified and spirited workplace. Demonstrates empathy and understanding of patients/customer concerns by listening carefully and responding appropriately.
Performs MRI procedures using prescribed techniques. Reviews the exam order to make sure it correlates with the reason for exam. Contacts the ordering provider to make any necessary order changes. Adjusts protocols and equipment for proper patient imaging; positions patients based on evaluation of patients status and pathological locale; sets up and utilizes immobilization devices and protective barriers.
Observes patients before, during and after procedures and properly documents any unusual occurrences. Utilizes protective shields and barriers where necessary and prudent.
Experience:
Required: * 1-3 years
Education: Required: * Associate's Degree
Licenses And Certification: Required: * Basic Life Support * Registered Radiologic Technologist Preferred: * Registered MRI Technologis
