Job Summary:
The Scheduling Representative (Scheduler) helps ensure that company objectives are achieved and that all deadlines are met while following the guidelines of the Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBAs). The right candidate will possess the ability to multitask and provide quick responses to staffing issues as they arise. The scheduler must know how to shift resources to ensure that employees and needed units are fully staffed to meet the company's requirements. This position is responsible for monitoring field staffing levels. Schedulers work closely with the Human Resources, Payroll, and Leaves departments to ensure all employees are clear and approved to work.
Pay Rate
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr, depending on experience. This is a non-exempt position.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Coordinate filling vacant long and short-term schedules based on company demand for 24/7 operations
- Keep ePro Scheduler updated for employee schedules, including working hours, non-working hours, and sick time by coordinating all changes to same-day and future staffing based on staffing levels and demands predicted by the company
- Review expired certification report and replace employees as-need for same and next day schedules
- Review and approve or deny PTO requests and replace openings with qualified employees
- Review the leave tracker and find replacements to cover those shifts as needed
- Process Change of Schedule and Change of Status requests
- Coordinate and schedule student ride-alongs
- Create and staff immediate shifts for long distance transports
- Send end of day message
- Document probationary employees not in compliance with paperwork
- Maintain and update Time and Attendance tracker to be used by Human Resources and Labor Relations
- Understand scheduling functions in relationship to payroll, such as earning codes, PTO, and Payroll options
- Be fully educated on the CBAs to remain in compliance while completing job duties
- Other duties as assigned
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Three (3) or more years of experience in a fast-paced office or related setting
- Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
- Demonstrable computer skills to include learning new software and an understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Capacity to manage a busy workload with expectations of high productivity
- Work collaboratively with multiple other departments in the organization
- Two (2) or more years of experience as a scheduler for an EMS company or a similar, fast-paced environment
- Prior experience working with unionized employees and understanding CBAs
- Must be able to sit for an extended period of time
- Must be able to wear a telephone headset
- Must be able to hear and communicate clearly to perform job duties over the telephone and via computer
- Adequate vision required to be able to read information from printed sources and computer screens
- Requires frequent repetitive hand movements, standing, walking, reaching, and grasping
Salary : $18 - $22
