What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Supervisor – Triangle Stainless (TSI Division) position at PRM Filtration?
Job Overview
Triangle Stainless (TSI) is a premier custom fabrication division of Product Recovery Management, Inc. (PRM). With nearly 150 employees and over 40 years of industry-leading stability, PRM operates multiple successful business units, including our highly respected ASME Code shop for tank production.
TSI is experiencing massive growth. We currently operate out of a state-of-the-art 200,000-square-foot facility in Butner, NC, with blueprints already in motion to expand by an additional 100,000 square feet over the next year. To support this trajectory, we are looking for a highly competent, agile, and driven Operations Manager to lead the TSI Division.
Position Overview
As the Operations Manager, you will hold the keys to the TSI Division, balancing Production Oversight with Strategic Sales/Account Management. This is not a role where you will be pounding the pavement for cold calls all day; rather, you will leverage our massive production capabilities to capture and manage substantial, high-value opportunities right here in the booming RDU area (including Pharmaceutical, Airport, and General Fabrication sectors).
You will work closely with our comprehensive, in-house engineering department and supervise a skilled fabrication team to ensure projects are executed with precision, speed, and safety.
Duties
- Production Leadership: Oversee day-to-day operations of the custom fabrication floor, optimizing workflow, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Business Growth & Sales: Serve as the face of the TSI division to regional clients. Nurture existing accounts and capitalize on local RDU market opportunities (Pharma, Aviation, Commercial).
- Engineering Collaboration: Partner with our in-house engineering team to bridge the gap between design and physical production, ensuring technical accuracy and manufacturability.
- Team Supervision & Mentorship: Lead, mentor, and foster a high-performance culture among fabricators, welders, and support staff.
- Agile Problem Solving: Act and react quickly to supply chain shifts, production bottlenecks, and customer requests to ensure the betterment of the company.
- Our Equipment & Capabilities
We provide our team with the absolute best tools in the industry. Our modern custom fabrication shop features:
- 20KW Laser & 3KW Laser
- HD Plasma cutting systems
- Robotic 1000-Amp Welder
- Approximately 15 specialized welding stations
- Advanced press brakes and modern forming equipment
- Full ASME Code shop certification for certified tank production
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of direct personnel/production management experience AND 5 years of hands-on metal fabrication experience.
- Technical Literacy: Strong understanding of custom fabrication processes, welding standards, blueprint reading, and engineering support.
- Work Ethic: A high-energy, proactive work ethic with a proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly expanding environment.
- Communication: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to effectively manage team dynamics and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Growth Mindset: The ability to bring in/nurture customers and work seamlessly with cross-functional corporate team members.
What We Offer
We believe in rewarding competence and dedication. As a stable, 40 year-old company, we offer a competitive compensation package designed to attract top-tier talent.
- Competitive Base Salary: Negotiable based on your specific experience and technical capabilities.
- Performance Bonuses: A structured annual bonus system tied to division success.
- Robust Benefits: Excellent health, dental, vision, and retirement benefits packages.
