Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, air brake systems, suspension components, and electrical systems using OEM schematics and automotive diagnostic tools.
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on heavy equipment such as cranes, forklifts, trailers, and other industrial machinery.
- Troubleshoot complex mechanical issues by interpreting schematics and technical manuals to identify root causes efficiently.
- Maintain detailed service records for all repairs performed; ensure compliance with safety standards and manufacturer guidelines.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks including tire service, alignment checks, brake repairs, HVAC servicing, and general vehicle maintenance to maximize uptime.
- Operate heavy equipment safely during repairs or testing procedures while adhering to safety protocols.
Experience
- Proven mechanic experience with a focus on diesel engines and heavy equipment repair
- Skilled in automotive diagnostics with a solid understanding of electrical systems and vehicle maintenance procedures.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while working in diverse environments; excellent customer service skills are a plus for interacting with internal teams.
